Points Winners for Hobbytown
Over the next few days I will be getting the points together for the series. The trophies are in and ready for the 11th.
But before I go I would like to make a comment about who “deserves” to win.
As everyone knows a points series is a season long competition, many times, like this year the top three spots aren’t decided until the final race. A few of the classes the top spot was not in question, but there was a good fight for second and third right to the end. But the point of a points series is to race the whole year, not get a lot of points early then hope no one catches you!
Does it matter if there were more racers early in the season? As far as the points go, not one bit. If that would be taken into account, each race points awards would need to be weighted as to how many racers were there. That is not how it is done, and everyone knows that. So any controversy over points, is not really a controversy, at least it shouldn’t be.
