Indoor electric RC

Today, well to be 100% accurate, Saturday a bunch of us tested out the astro turf at Ozzy’s in Leesport.

I was only there for a little bit, but I did see several rc’s running. Two Slash’s, two other 1/10 scale trucks, and 1/8th scale buggy and a 1/10 touring car. There was also two HPI Formula Ten’s, but I left before they ran.

Hobbytown is still in negotiations to get some indoor winter racing going there.

Since the only rc I own now are airplanes and mini helicopters, I took them too. And I was flying my MSR heli and Ember. The Ember was a blast! I actually had a little bit of fun buzzing the guys setting up the cones for the track.

The first, of many hopefully, Novice Racers night at Hobbytown USA in Reading, Pa. The racers who attended, Eric, Jamie, Nick, Nigel and Glenn, thanks a ton! The people I spoke to who attended got quite a bit out of it and enjoyed themselves.

This is one of the reasons I like the whole race program at Hobbytown. It is very oriented toward helping people out who may be new or just need some help. It makes for a better race day, and even if these people never race, they will hopefully enjoy the hobby just a little bit more. And after all it is a hobby, right? Supposed to have fun, bring the family, have a good day, right?
